While our presiders do the majority of the preaching at our Eucharistic liturgies, we do invite other people to break open the word from time to time. Our custom is to have a lay person preach on the second Sunday of each month. Sometimes the preacher is a member of our community who has completed our homiletics program, other times we have people from outside our community or tradition share their Christian experience and witness. We welcome and encourage women preachers and reserve spots on the schedule for female homilist.
