News From the Steering Committee

The Steering Committee met via Zoom on July 13 and August 3. Here are some highlights:

Due to the changing health situation, face coverings are once again required for ALL in the church at St. John’s. They are optional outside, such as in the courtyard. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will conform to all regulations of St. John’s, the Episcopal Diocese, the city, state, and CDC.

Updated Protocols for Attending Liturgy at St. John's effective August 5, 2021

IMPORTANT CHANGES REGARDING ATTENDANCE AT ST JOHN’S - July 13, 2021

Fr. Graeme, Rector at St. John’s, has recently advised us of changes in the safety protocols at St. John’s, which we are obliged to follow.  In accord with those changes, we have also changed our protocols.

Reservations are no longer necessary.  Contact tracing is no longer being done by St. John’s and seating capacity has increased to approximately 60 people.  Six-foot distancing is still required in church so you will need to sit in designated spaces for one or two people.  You may continue to sit by yourself if you wish.

Return to St. John's - Reserve Your Seat

Dear friends and members,
You should have received an email last Sunday providing details about our return to St. John’s on June 20. If not, you can find it on the home page of the Dignity/New York website (www.dignityny.org).

As promised, here is further information about reserving your seat. This is necessary because by regulation of St. John’s and the Episcopal Diocese of New York, capacity in the church is currently limited to 40 people in the pews.
